Starting the Day in a Positive Way

What we offer up in the silence of the morning is magnified throughout the day. Those first waking thoughts create the momentum for all that follows.

So what can we do to start the day in a positive way?

We can create our very own, personalized morning spiritual practice.

Just a few minutes a day assists us in making the transformation from our smaller selves to our higher selves.

When we connect with the power of our highest wisdom first thing in the morning, we continue to access assistance and clarity in the form of intuition, knowledge and guidance as the day unfolds.

We could all use some of that, right?

What a glorious invitation we send out when we start the day with focused attention on practices that silence our thoughts and open our hearts to inner peace and divine connection.

It's an invitation that creates a miraculous shift in perception - from monochromatic black and white, to full, brilliant HD color.

And just think, we can manifest all of that before our morning coffee. Or perhaps you find you are more spiritual after coffee. It works perfectly either way.

You see, our morning spiritual practice is not homework, but an investment in every aspect of our lives.

It doesn’t have to be involved or overly planned, just authentic.

It doesn’t have to be long, but our focus has to be all in.

It doesn’t have to please anyone else; it is for your soul alone.

As this precious day lays out before us, let's begin by practicing peace, joy, strength, gratitude and oneness with all things.

With a morning moment like that, everything that follows will flow with a little more ease and grace.

In The World:

  • Begin each day with gratitude. Wake up an whisper, thank you.

  • Arrange your schedule so you can commit to some short spiritual practices every morning. Move it to #1 on the priority list.

  • Consider any combination of prayer, meditation, sacred reading, walking, journaling, gratitude practice, daybook lessons, visualizing, talking with your angels, yoga, pranayama or affirmations.

  • Invest in clear focus by keeping your phone out of sight.

  • Stay with your practices and watch your life transform before your eyes.

In The Heart:

  • I create time to connect with my highest self each morning. My day is inspired when it starts from a place of spiritual connection with all wisdom, all light and all love.
